CollageThing never uploads your photos

The short version

CollageThing runs entirely on your iPhone. There is no account to create, no server to sign in to, and no upload step. The photos you pick, the collages you build and the drafts you save stay on your device, and no copy of them is ever sent anywhere.

CollageThing does not track what you do in the app, and your personal information is never sold or shared with anyone. Once you save or send a collage somewhere else, such as a message or a social media app, it is out of the app’s hands and covered by that app’s rules instead.

Information collected

None. CollageThing has no servers of its own, so there is nothing to receive, store or look at. Your photos, your collages, which phone you are using and how you use the app are never visible to anyone but you.

Photos and your library

When you add a photo to a collage, your iPhone passes just that one picture to the app. It is used to build your collage and stays inside the app on your phone. Nothing is copied to a server, and no record of which pictures you chose is kept anywhere but your phone.

CollageThing only asks for permission to save pictures to your photo library, not to look through it. That lets you save a finished collage to Photos, and nothing more.

If you delete the app, the collages and drafts it stored are removed with it. Anything you already saved to Photos stays in your library, and anything you already shared with someone else stays wherever you sent it.

Purchases

Unlock Everything is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether the purchase is active. Your payment details never pass through CollageThing and are never visible to it.

Restoring a purchase simply asks Apple to confirm again that you already bought it. Nothing else is sent anywhere.

Third parties

CollageThing has no ads, no tracking tools and no social media add-ons built into it. The only other company involved is Apple, which runs the App Store and the software on your iPhone. What Apple does with that information is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Sharing a collage

Sharing is always your choice. CollageThing never posts, sends or uploads anything on its own, and it has no way to do so.

When you tap share, your iPhone hands the finished picture to whichever app you pick, such as Messages, Mail or a social media app. From that point the picture is in that app’s hands and whatever you do with it, and who can see it, is up to you and that app.

Children

CollageThing is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Deleting your collages and the app

To remove a single collage, open CollageThing, press and hold the collage on the home screen and choose Delete. It is removed from your phone straight away.

To remove everything, delete the app: touch and hold the CollageThing icon on your home screen, choose Remove App, then Delete App. Every collage and draft it saved goes with it.

Collages you saved to Photos are ordinary pictures in your library, so they stay there. To remove one, open the Photos app, select the picture and tap the bin icon, then empty Recently Deleted if you want it gone right away.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Anything important will also be mentioned in the App Store release notes.
